Our Secondary School
“My ambition for our students is to send them out into the world with not only the good grades they need to succeed academically but also with the skills to allow them to flourish in life. We work hard at NGG International School to bring out the best in our students and enable them to shine”.
Karen Bøttger, Head of School,
NGG International School (NGGI).
This is our Shared Vision for NGGI and shapes everything we do:
"NGGI students are active in shaping their own learning, strive to reach their potential and aim to be respectful, responsible global citizens of tomorrow". This is supported by the IPC Personal Goals in the Primary School and the Cambridge Learner Attributes in the Secondary School.
At NGG International School, we use the Cambridge Assessment International Curriculum to provide a clear path for success for our students. Cambridge Assessment and International Education is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for over 10,000 schools worldwide in more than 160 countries.
The Cambridge programmes are progressive, so each stage builds on the learners’ development from the previous one. The first stage for our secondary students is Cambridge Lower Secondary for 11-14 year olds, the second and final stage at NGG International for our students is Cambridge Upper Secondary for 14-16 year olds. Students are examined for International GCSE’s while in Upper Secondary.
As part of our curriculum, we actively develop the Cambridge learner attributes in our students so they become Confident, Responsible, Reflective, Innovative and Engaged. When you visit our school, you will quickly see what the teachers see. Our students enjoy the small close knit community and demonstrate these qualities in abundance. They feel they can make mistakes and try again in this gentle environment which supports them. Learn more about how the curriculum will help your child to embody these attributes.
