Parents Association
What is the Parents Association (PA)?
The NIS Parents Association is an association that includes all parents in the NIS school community. All parents in the NIS community are asked to contribute with a few hours per year in a way that they see fits their time and possibility. It can be as little as 2 hours per year.
"By all contributing a little, together we can make great things happen"
NIS learners are lucky to have parents who support children’s learning such as supporting class trips, parent talent bank where talents and areas of expertise are shared with classes when connected to learning. In the younger classes, parents are welcomed into school to help with hearing readers or in the library.
Within the Parents Association we also have the following parent teams:
- Social events for parents and families
- Parent coffee mornings
- Larger school events
- Parent welcome team and connecting buddy families
- Yearbook team
- Library volunteer team
These bring NIS children and parents together and bond us at a community. Find out more about these events and what happens at school by joining the North Zealand International School Facebook group.
